This goal means that the greenhouse gases produced by human activities will be reduced to the lowest possible level, while the remaining emissions will be offset through measures such as tree planting, carbon capture technologies, or investments in other emission reduction initiatives.
At the end of 2021, during COP26, the Government of Vietnam committed to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. This was one of Vietnam’s most significant pledges in the fight against climate change, demonstrating the nation’s responsibility in protecting the global environment. At that very moment, NetZero.VN was established — the initial step leading to the official founding of Net Zero Vietnam Joint Stock Company on August 11, 2023.
