Italy, regarded as one of Europe’s leaders in renewable energy, also has ambitious plans to accelerate its development of clean hydrogen. With a generous supply of natural resources, a mature existing gas infrastructure network, and its strategic geographical location between North Africa and the rest of Europe, many developments and investments continue to throw light on the country’s potential as a European hydrogen hub.
We asked experts from throughout the clean energy value chain, from developers, researchers, energy consultancies, technology producers, and more to share their perspectives, insights and predictions on what’s needed to integrate and further develop the hydrogen and renewable energy market in Italy to achieve the country’s ambitious net-zero targets. Many of the themes touched upon in this report will feature prominently at the World Hydrogen & Renewables Italy Premium Collaboration & Networking Conference taking place at the Rosa Grand Milan on 2 – 4 May.
