This year’s campaign advocated a significant shift toward innovative energy use. From applying advanced technologies and improving management practices to changing consumer behavior, each solution is expected to contribute to more sustainable development in the future.
Addressing the event, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hoang Long said that Vietnam has adopted numerous policies and mechanisms to encourage investment in energy efficiency, cut emissions, protect the environment, increase labor productivity, and promote a more sustainable growth model.
“I call on ministries, sectors, localities, businesses, and all citizens to actively respond to and implement energy-saving solutions in all aspects of life. It’s necessary to boost technological innovation, apply advanced energy management solutions, promote energy-efficient production and consumption models, support energy transition, and develop clean energy transportation. We need to save fuel by using public transport. Through these collective actions, we can build a modern, highly productive, and sustainable economy,” Long said.

At the event, EU Ambassador to Vietnam Julien Guerrier acknowledged Vietnam’s efforts in promoting energy efficiency and green transition. He expressed confidence that with strong government commitment and active participation from all stakeholders, Vietnam will achieve its net-zero emissions targets.
The Earth Hour 2026 campaign included a large-scale public run to raise awareness on green innovation and green future.
