As the country increasingly participates in free trade agreements, compliance with environmental standards and regulations has become essential for the export of domestic products. Additionally, the volatility of electricity and fuel prices is putting considerable strain on manufacturing sectors. In this context, adopting comprehensive energy-saving measures is critical.

GreenYellow fosters green energy growth in Vietnam

To support Vietnamese businesses on their path to sustainability, GreenYellow, a French leader in decentralized solar photovoltaic production, energy efficiency projects, energy services and electric mobility, has created a holistic Net Zero roadmap focused on lowering greenhouse gas emissions and boosting renewable energy usage. Since entering the Vietnamese market in 2020, GreenYellow has invested more than 135 million EUR in solar energy projects, delivering over 220 MWp of total capacity and helping clients reduce CO2 emissions by 97,430 tonnes, which is equivalent to planting 4,330,220 trees.

GreenYellow offers turnkey solutions that begin with factory assessments to evaluate electricity consumption needs. This is followed by recommendations on energy-saving measures, including equipment upgrades or the adoption of solar energy. As an energy strategic partner to prominent companies in Vietnam like Foxconn New Wing, Group SEB, MM Mega Market, GO!, and LOTTE, GreenYellow is dedicated to providing capital, design, construction, operation, and maintenance for customized rooftop solar systems tailored to specific business needs. What sets GreenYellow apart is its ability to offer International Renewable Energy Certificates (I-RECs), providing a complete service package that allows clients to use renewable energy, optimize electricity consumption, and quickly obtain I-RECs. Additionally, GreenYellow is at the forefront of exploring the potential of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in Vietnam.

Beyond transitioning to renewable energy, businesses looking to reduce electricity costs should also focus on upgrading outdated, energy-intensive equipment with modern, energy-efficient technologies such as LED lighting, HVAC systems, heating/cooling devices, Building Management Systems (BMS), and compressors. GreenYellow is particularly committed to expanding its energy efficiency services across sectors like seafood and agricultural freezing, pharmaceuticals and medical devices, food and beverage production, electronic component manufacturing, supermarkets, and cold storage. Through these efforts, GreenYellow is dedicated to helping more businesses reduce energy consumption, optimize operations, and meet their sustainability objectives.

As GreenYellow embarks on its ambitious journey towards 2025, the company is committed to collaborating with the Vietnamese Government, businesses, and communities to create a sustainable energy future. By addressing existing challenges and fostering a supportive environment, Vietnam can emerge as a leader in renewable energy in the region./.
