The Vietnam Green Building and Transportation Week 2025 will open in Hanoi on October 29 with the theme “Innovation in sustainable construction: Promoting green building and green transport development”.

The 2025 edition, to be hosted by the Ministry of Construction, officially integrates the fields of construction and transportation, reflecting the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on developing science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, as well as promoting energy efficiency, green energy transition, and carbon and methane emissions in the transport sector.

With a series of events, including one plenary session and four thematic seminars, it is expected to attract over 1,000 delegates from ministries, local authorities, organisations, and domestic and international enterprises.

As part of the week, the Ministry of Construction, in collaboration with the Hanoi People’s Committee, will host a seminar on promoting green buildings and green transport toward sustainable development. The event will bring together leaders from both agencies, along with representatives from domestic and international organisations and enterprises involved in consulting, investment, construction, and operation of green building and transport projects.

During the plenary session, participants will discuss innovation strategies, application of advanced technologies, digital transformation, and green energy solutions in construction and transport to improve resource efficiency, reduce emissions, and promote the development of green buildings and green transportation in Vietnam.

Meanwhile, symposiums will focus on green housing and real estate development, the use of new energy-efficient and low-emission materials, green urban planning and infrastructure, smart management solutions, and the promotion of green transport through energy transition, electric vehicles and smart transport infrastructure.

On the sidelines of the event, an exhibition with over 30 booths will showcase green and eco-friendly materials, smart and energy-efficient equipment, as well as products and services in green building design, consultancy, project management, and green finance from various organisations and businesses.

The event will also honour organisations and individuals that have contributed to green building and transport development, and winners of the Student Green Architecture Awards, and present green building certifications.

As an annual event initiated in 2020, the week has become a prestigious forum in the field of green construction, contributing to fostering innovation and energy-efficient and sustainable solutions./.
