With huge potential in energy, especially renewable energy, south central Ninh Thuan province plans to develop the first Net-Zero industrial park in Vietnam, according to the provincial authorities.
The province has potential of developing 13,000 MW of wind power and over 8,000 MW of solar power, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
With these advantages, Ninh Thuan targets to attract domestic and foreign investors in hydrogen production.
At a recent conference on green energy, green hydrogen and carbon neutral industrial park”, Mr. Eric HU, Solution Director of Net-Zero Industrial Park (NZIP) – Envision NZIP, said with outstanding advantages in terms of natural resources and geographical position, Ninh Thuan has huge potential to develop Net-Zero industrial clusters.
The Envision Group committed to help Ninh Thuan initiate the planning of Net-Zero ecosystem to launch the first Net-Zero IP in Vietnam, he said.
By the end of 2021, Ninh Thuan completed 55 energy projects with a total capacity of 3,423 MW, including 35 solar power projects and 9 hydropower projects.
