This is one of the contents at a meeting between Vietnam’s Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien and Australian Minister of Trade and Tourism, Senator Hon Don Farrell, on April 17, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary Year of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Australia. In recent years, trade between the two countries has grown significantly. Vietnam is currently Australia’s 12th largest trading partner and 9th largest commodity export market. Australia is the 7th largest trading partner of Vietnam. Australian businesses have invested and brought strong contributions to Vietnam and vice versa.
At the meeting, the two sides also discussed the mutual benefits gained from the Strategy to strengthen economic cooperation between Vietnam and Australia, especially in the fields of trade, industry, agriculture, energy, etc. digital economy and education.
