On the morning of November 7th, Vietnam Green Day 2026 officially opened at Phan Dinh Phung Park (HCMC), opening a series of activities taking place on November 7th and 8th with many experiential programs, exchanges and community connections, contributing to promoting green transformation and sustainable development.
This is the third consecutive year that the Vietnam Green Day is organized, with the participation of more than 40 units, including many large enterprises, expected to welcome about 25,000 visitors.
Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Bui Minh Thanh emphasized that the city sets an economic growth target but must go hand in hand with environmental protection and improving the quality of life of the people.
Rapid growth cannot be traded for a living environment. Economic development must go hand in hand with improving the quality of life of people,” Mr. Bui Minh Thanh emphasized.
According to the leader of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, the city identifies digital transformation, green transformation and innovation as the three pillars of the city’s development. Mr. Bui Minh Thanh also said that green transformation is no longer just a choice but an inevitable requirement, and can also open up a new growth model, attracting investment.

With the theme “Green Transformation – Sustainable Efficiency”, Vietnam Green Day 2026 includes a series of seminars promoting economic development, tourism, and green energy in many localities; community spreading contests; visiting factories applying green transformation technology, aiming to promote the transformation of sustainable development thinking in the community and businesses.
Through the series of activities, Vietnam Green 2026 aims to raise awareness and promote specific actions in production, business and consumption, encourage efficient use of resources, minimize environmental impacts and develop a circular economy.
The program also contributes to connecting social resources, creating motivation for the green transition process and accompanying Vietnam’s goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2050.
Vietnam Green Day 2026 is part of the Vietnam Green program organized by Tuoi Tre newspaper, Vietnam Packaging Recycling Alliance (PRO Vietnam) in coordination with the Climate Change Department (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment), and the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam Youth Federation.
